Given our experience and existing infrastructure, we have increasingly taken this on and now believe it is a fundamental component of our business.

In order to give owners a better understanding of how MRC operates, we have developed the following set of guidelines in relation to Syndicating your horse:

1. MRC generally Syndicate 10 share Partnerships and Syndications are limited to a maximum of 10 shares.

2. Both MRC and the third party agree on a “potential purchase cost” for the horse prior to any work being undertaken.

3. As Syndicators, MRC must provide independent valuations and this must take place prior to any work proceeding. The subsequent “purchase price” must fall within these parameters.

4. As Syndicators, MRC must also obtain a vet certificate that states the horse is sound and fit for racing, prior to any work proceeding.

5. Photos must be taken as well as a video where possible. Both are to be displayed on the MRC website.
For more information on syndication please contact us on race@macauracingclub.com or call us on (852) 3571 8496

Talented gelding Imabayboy finally broke through for a well deserved win in the Class 3 over 1800 metres on Saturday.

Prepared by New Zealand conditioner Paddy Busuttin, Imabayboy had put the writing on the wall with two luckless runs over 1800 and 1500 metres coming into Saturday’s race.

Nicely placed in the run by Stanley Chin, Imabayboy unleashed a powerful finish over the final two hundred metres to win running away by one and a half lengths from Diamond Glitter (Gaeton Faucon, with Belt Of Golden (Wil Pao) in third.

It was a much relieved Paddy Busuttin after the win.

“Well he was due for a change of luck.” Busuttin said

“He’s been a victim of slow run races and no luck in running so it’s good to see him finally break through.

“Stanley (Chin) gave him a lovely ride after he began awkwardly; he really did a great job.”

Imabayboy was sent to Macau by the owner Auckland Real Estate Agent Carl Gray, specifically with the Derby in mind in light of his good form in New Zealand.

“He won five races for me in New Zealand raced against top company.” Busuttin added.

“He’s last run was in the Derby and even though he was not up to the top bracket he wasn’t far off them.”

“I’ll probably freshen him up now for the Guineas over 1500 metres for his next run or failing that there is another nice 1800 metre race not far away.”

Carl Gray has been a long time supporter of Paddy Busuttin’s and with the dwindling level of prizemoney on offer in New Zealand was quick to seize the opportunity to race his horses in Macau.

“Carl’s been a great help in getting me set up here in Macau.”

“I been training for him since I went back home after my time in Singapore, and at the moment I’ve got seven of his horses in my yard.”

Imabayboy’s victory on Saturday gave Carl Gray his fourth winner in the enclave.

Geoff Allendorf’s Grand Eagle finally put it all together with a dazzling display to bolt away with the Class 3 & 4 on Saturday.

Ridden by Manoel Nunes Grand Eagle flew the gates to land a clear length in front, and from then travelled sweetly in the run.

Cut loose by Nunes two hundred out, the son of Kempinsky (AUS) gapped his opposition to win in Class record time of 56.4 shaving .01 of Dr. Sweet’s old standard for the 1000 metres.

“That’s what I expected him to do at his very first start here.” Allendorf said after the win.

“He’s a big strong horse but he is an absolute nerve case and it’s taken awhile to get him to relax and settle a bit.”

“We’ve been taking him for easy rides around the roads after his work just to try something different with him to calm him a bit.”

Grand Eagle is raced by Australian owner Colin Keane, a prominent New South Wales Central Coast racing identity.

Keane enjoyed great success in Macau with his grand old sprinter Bennetts Green who won seven races in the enclave, and over $3 million in prizemoney.

Buoyed by that success Keane has continued to race horses in Macau with good results, and at present has five horses in training with Geoff Allendorf.

Grand Eagle really looks a cut above the average and with maturity will make it to the top echelon.

For jockey Manoel Nunes the win was part of a four timer on Saturday with a winner at Friday night’s program to boot.

Nunes is now on 42 winners for the season a whopping 24 in front of second placed Fausto Durso, with Stanley Chin in third spot on 15.

Nunes’ 42 winners come from a total of 159 rides giving him a strike rate of 26.4%, with another 37 placings to net a place percentage of 49.6%.

Ridden by Stanley Chin Tron Kingdom charged home late in a race run at cracking speed, to grab victory right on the wire from Ecstatic Macau (Lei Kin Meng, with Sure Desire (Steven Choi) holding on for third.

Tron Kingdom recorded a slick 1.08 neat for the 1200 metre journey clipping .08 off the Class record previously set by Éclair Fantastic.

A son of the former top European miler Noverre (USA), from the Last Tycoon mare Sweet Executive, Tron Kingdom is a product of the Macau Jockey Club’s 2009 Subscription Tender Scheme.

The highly successful Tender Scheme has produced the winners of 53 races and $11.5 million in prizemoney won to date.

Tron Kingdom has now won 8 races and close to $2.5 million in stakes for owner Jason Chow.

Trainer Gary Moore was supremely confident before the race stating the gelding was right on track for his Derby mission.

“I was delighted with him coming into the race and everything is just pointing the right way at the moment.”

“He’s next start will be the Guineas Prelude over 1400 metres on January 22nd.” Moore said.

“Then it’s the million dollar Guineas over 1500 metres on February 30th.”

Although not ideally bred to run the Derby distance of 1800 metres, Moore is confident Tron Kingdom has the right attributes to go the distance.

“He has good gate speed, he’s a very relaxed and manageable horse in a race, and he can run on any type of track.”

“And he is the best four year old here by far.”

Moore sits on 22 winners in the trainer’s standings six ahead of Patrick Lee, with the combined stable of Brian Kan and Tommy Tse on 14 winners in third spot.

Earlier in the day Moore provided visiting French jockey Gaeton Faucon with his first winner in the enclave when Super Vegetable easily accounted for his opposition in the Class 3 & 4 over 1000 metres.

Faucon is a polished horseman who after a few quiet weeks here in Macau got a chance to display his talents on the weekend booting home a winning double.

Best Stallion from the Patrick Lee yard gave Faucon his double for the day per medium of a nice rails hugging ride by the Frenchman in the last of the day the Class 5 & 6 over 1500 metres.
