Callisto Kid officially landed in Macau and touched down in the evening of the 23rd Feb 2009. The horse is with  the Geoff Allendorf stables and is is now in his second season at MJC.

Callisto Kid has run well on his last three trips first coming 2nd over 1200M & on the grass track and coming 3rd over 1400M turf track and most recently coming 2nd over 1800M which he nearly won. Connections thought he would win the last race however he just could not gun down the 10llbs claimer who stayed on to win the race. Its a shame as it would of been nice for the horse to get a win under his belt..

Callisto Kid finally win’s his first race in Macau to break his maiden status with a strong and well ridden race by Champion jockey Manuel Nunes out of gate 12 over the 1800M. The son of Galileo won well, having won by 2.5 lengths against rivals, hit the line hard and seemed like he could go another 200 meters.

Callisto Kid strikes gold for the syndicate members winning over 1500M soft track on the 15th May 2010.  A patient ride from Panamanian jockey Ruben Silvera who once again timed it to perfection as he got The Kid to pick up down the stretch to win by 1/2 length over stable horse Taipan Tank.

On a bit of a sad note the horse pulled up very sore and was xrayed where the vet found a medium size chip on the top of his knee. Surgery will be needed and the horse will be out of action for at least 3 months. We all look forward to seeing Callisto Kid bounce back next season 2010-2011.
