MRC is pleased to announce that the company has bought The Rebel and is now syndicating the horse.

A nice 3 yr old Iglesia horse which has recently arrived into Macau from Australia 8 weeks ago. The horse name is  THE REBEL and will be is already in training with the Tim Pinfield stables homes of Bhutane Dane, The Gangster, and soon to be The Rocket.

Callisto Kid Strikes Gold for MRC Connections

Wednesday, 6th February 2010: Callisto Kid won convincingly over the 1800M turf track with Champion jockey Manuel Nunes on board riding a classic, well timed race to steer this 4 year old son of Galileo to his first win at MJC .

The syndicate members who are all spread across the world from Macau, Hong Kong, England and Germany were all elated with Callisto Kid first win as they have all been very patient with the horse and today he has paid everyone back with a solid win and many more to come.

“Callisto Kid has taken a while to break his maiden status but today he did it in style winning 2.5 length’s over his ideal distance 1800M,” said Carstairs.

“I’d like to thank the trainer Geoff Allendorf and his two assistance Tony Ives and Yap for all the hard work they put into the horse. We all hope this horse has now matured and that the penny has dropped” Carstairs said.

MRC Syndicates Listed horse Bhutane Dane into Macau

The Macau Racing Club acquired Sydney Listed winner Bhutane Dane to bring over to Macau. Bhutane Dane son of Danehill Dancer out of Joleur mare has impressive record with 12 runs with 4 wins, 1 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd and earned A$299,300.

” He is a impressive race horse with a good track record and will be one of the top 5 horses in Macau I think. Were hoping with his breeding he might handle the sand track being related to Bite the Bullet” Comments trainer Tim Pinfield.

” I like this horse, he can preform well at 1200M – 1500M at top level. We have been looking for a quality sprinter for Macau for quite some time and when this chance came up I called few friends and convinced them to invest with us and they did” Comments James Carstairs Racing Manager.

The Gangster pleases connections with first win at MJC

It was a great start to the new season for The Gangster Syndicate, the 4 yr old gelding, out of Untouchable won his first race on the 18th October for trainer Tim Pinfield and jockey Manuel Nunes. A strong favourite at 2-1 did not let down the punters in the 6th race ICBC Charity Trophy.

The Gangster lost both back plates and knuckled down slightly at the start however picked up & traveled nicely on the bridle for Nunes through out the race and lead from start to finish to clocked 1.23.7 a class record. The horse has showed a mark improvement to his from and stayed on and hit the line strongly this time and looked like he can go longer.

“He seems to have some good early gate speed and can stay on anywhere from 1500-1800M”. Comments Tim Pinfield

Tim Pinfield also mentioned that the horse will have a bit of a rest and then carry on with it training schedule and looks like will be entered on the 8th November over 1800M on the turf. The plan of action is to keep winning and getting his rating to where we think he should be and possibly look at entering him for the Triple Crown races if he is good enough.

MJC 2009/2010 Horse Racing Season

The Macau Jockey Club announces the enclosed 2009/2010 season Racing Fixtures List has been approved by the Government.

The 2009/2010 racing season for the Macau Jockey Club has been scheduled to commence on Saturday, 19 September 2009 and finish on Saturday, 28 August 2010 with a total of 68 race meetings, including 30 day meetings, 30 night meetings and 8 twilight meetings.

Of the 68 race meetings, 33 will be on turf, 30 on sand and 5 on turf/sand.

From July 2010 to the end of the racing season, all race meetings on Saturday/Sunday will be twilight meeting.

MRC Announce New Race Horse called The Gangster

The Macau Racing Club is please to announce the club has purchases a new race horse which has recently arrived in the last shipment on the 4th May 2009.

The Gangster is a nice 3 year old gelding horse unraced from Sydney is sired by a up and coming sire Untouchable.The horse is a well conformed horse standing 16.0 hands with a nice strong hindquarter on him. A horse which has good length or reign and a purposeful stride.

” We beleive this horse is great value to first time wanna be owners who want the opportunity to be involved with a race horse partnership but not spend on 100% of a horse. The Gangster is unraced horse but trailled 3 times with horses who have gone on to race and win. We think he has alot upside and can be a profitable race horse under Macau Racing Club banner” Comments James Carstairs racing manager of MRC.

Kings Cross Wins 2nd Race for Connections

Kings Cross stunned rivals by winning the The Belm Race, on the 4th July 2009 with Brent Stanley on board who ran a great race and put him in a great position to win his second race in Macau over the 1300M sand track.

Kings Cross drawn gate 2, sat quietly in the box seat, and positioned 3 back in the inside, was crusing coming around the corner and kicked on nicely for for Brent Stanley clocking a time of 1.19.7 winning by 1/14 lengths and pleaseing punters at winning price of 14-1.

Kings Cross trainner Geoff Allendorf and connections were over the moon with the win and has shown the versatility of the horse being able to run on both the grass and the sand track. He has proved to be one of the most consistant horses in Macau having picked up a pay cheque each time he runs.
